Mahadhir is the youngest of 8 siblings. His siblings are the great-grandchildren (cicit) of Hj Nordin bin Ismail, from his eldest grandson, Mohamad bin Thamby Ali.

Uncles/father: Mohamad & sibs and Abdul Rashid (Bapak) & sibs were 2nd cousins.

Us: Mahadhir & sibs and myself & sibs are 3rd cousins.

Haji Rahim bin Haji Noordin is Bapak's uncle.

Haji Noordin bin Ismail is Bapak's granduncle. The other granduncle is Tok Zainal Klang.

Haji Mohd Sharif bin Ismail, Haji Noordin bin Ismail and Tok Zainal Kling are brothers.

Family at Pulau Besar 1948

Family and relatives at Pulau Besar, Malacca. Nenek Inche's husband is Mohd Yusope (Walid) at far right with songkok. He was called "Walid". Next to Walid is Pak Abas (Abas bin Haji Abdul Rahman, suami Mak Ainon Umbai). Bearded Haji Nordin bin Ismail @King George (Ujong Pasir) is at far left. Behind Haji Nordin is Haji Yusuf bin Buntal (Pak Ji Usop Semabok, suami Mak Lah).

After the Japanese Administration called for disbanding the KMMM (Kesatuan Melayu Muda Melaka) in Mei 1942, for alleged links to the communists, the Marai Seinen Club (MSC) was established in its stead. Many Malacca Malays joined the MSC as it fought for Malay rights and advancement.

One of the persons in charge of its Games Bureau (Biro Permainan) was Tamby Chik bin Haji Noordin.

Is Tamby Chik the son of Haji Noordin bin Ismail of 302 Banda Hilir?

Haji Rahim and Abdullah went to Makkah 21 March 1957

This is an old photo which I received from Mahadhir Mohamad. It is about Hj Rahim and Abdullah going to Makkah. This photo was dated 21 March 1957. It was taken in front of the 302 Banda Hilir house in Malacca. The 1957 photo shows the two men leaving the grounds of 302 Banda Hilir. They were headed to the bus station at Semabok junction.

Gambar yg saya attach kan itu diambil pd 21.3.57. Dibelakang gambar tersebut bertulis "hari pemergian Hj Rahim dan Abdullah ke Mecca. Diambil dihadapan rumah 302 Banda Hilir semasa hendak pergi ke tempat bus di simpang semabok".

Photo of 21 March 1957. Here, there is an arch with thatched roof, 2 huge brick columns, and high perimeter walls on both sides of the two brick columns. There is a house with thatched roof in the background, beyond the two columns.

Travel route from Melaka to Klang

Haji Rahim and Abdullah probably travelled from 302 Banda Hilir to the Semabok intersection, taken a bus there to the central bus station in Melaka, and from there to Tampin to Seremban to Kajang and KL, and finally reaching Klang. In 1957, the Hajj pilgrimage ships docked at Port Swettenham (now Port Klang).
